Walnut Dining Set

 

This dining set was created for a newly-wed couple as a gift.

The table was inspired by classic George Nakashima designs. The bases are bookmatched slabs with double-crotch grain and the top is a single slab 42" wide. The benches were made with bookmatched tops; the couple wanted a bookmatch theme throughout the piece to signify their marriage.
